Privacy Policy for Babli
Effective Date: August 4, 2026
Babli ("the App") is an iOS, iPadOS, and macOS app designed to help users improve their public speaking skills by analyzing recorded speeches and providing feedback. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.
By using Babli, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Accounts and Sign in with Apple
- Babli uses Sign in with Apple to create and authenticate your Babli account.
- When you sign in, Apple provides Babli with a unique account identifier and may provide your name and email address.
- If you choose Apple’s Hide My Email option, Babli receives a private relay email address instead of your personal email address. Messages sent to that relay address are forwarded by Apple according to your Apple account settings.
- Babli uses authentication credentials and session information to keep you signed in securely and connect your account with the App’s features.
- You may revoke Babli’s Sign in with Apple authorization at any time through your Apple Account settings. Revoking authorization is separate from deleting your Babli account and does not by itself delete data held by Babli.

5. Speech Recordings
- Before your first speech recording is sent for AI processing, Babli asks for your consent to process recordings using the AI and speech-processing services described in this Privacy Policy.
- You are not required to submit a recording for AI processing. If you do not provide consent, the recording will not be sent for AI analysis and the related transcription, feedback, and analysis features will not be available.
- When you choose to analyze a speech in Babli, your speech recording is processed to provide transcription, analysis, and feedback.
- Speech recordings may be transmitted to third-party service providers that help power Babli’s speech and AI-related features.
- We only transmit the speech recording necessary to perform the feature you request.
- Babli does not store speech recordings on its own servers. If a speech recording passes through our servers for processing, it is deleted immediately after processing is completed.
- After processing, recordings saved by the user are stored in the user’s private iCloud storage and are not accessible to us as part of the user’s private CloudKit data.
- You may delete your recordings from within the App.
6. Transcripts and Analysis Results
- Babli may store transcripts and analysis results, such as speech feedback, scores, and related insights, on our servers for product functionality, internal evaluation, and service improvement.
- These records may be associated with internal identifiers needed to provide and improve the App. We do not sell them or use them for third-party advertising.
7. Third-Party Services
- Babli uses third-party service providers to operate certain features of the App.
- These providers may process user data only as needed to perform services on our behalf, such as account authentication and storage, email delivery, speech transcription and analysis, AI-generated feedback and language processing, voice-related processing, subscription and purchase management, infrastructure, reliability, analytics, and service operation.
- Third-party providers used by Babli may include Apple for Sign in with Apple, private email relay, and CloudKit; Supabase for account authentication and profile storage; Resend for email delivery; Google and ElevenLabs for speech, AI, or voice-related features; and RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management.
- We require third parties that receive user data from Babli to provide the same or equal protection of user data as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.
8. Email Communications
- We use the email address associated with your Babli account to send essential account and service communications, such as account notices and information needed to operate the App.
- When a Babli account is created, promotional emails are enabled by default. We may send information about app updates, new features, discounts, and special offers.
- You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each promotional email. Unsubscribing is free and does not affect your ability to use Babli.
- Unsubscribing from promotional emails does not prevent us from sending essential account, security, subscription, or service communications when necessary.
- We may retain a record of your unsubscribe preference to ensure that we continue to honor it.
- If you use an Apple private relay email address, Apple forwards messages according to your Apple account and Hide My Email settings.
9. Cloud Storage and Syncing
- Babli uses Apple’s CloudKit private database to store and sync certain user data across devices.
- Data stored in your private CloudKit database is associated with your Apple account and is intended to be accessible only to you through your iCloud account.
- We do not access your private CloudKit data except as necessary to provide the functionality of the App through Apple’s systems.
10. Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your data with third parties for their own advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
- We only share data with service providers when necessary to operate Babli, such as account authentication and storage, email delivery, speech processing, analysis, feedback generation, subscription management, hosting, analytics, and technical operation.
11. Data Retention
- Speech recordings are not stored on our servers. If a recording passes through our servers for processing, it is deleted immediately after processing is completed.
- Recordings saved by the user in the App remain in the user’s private iCloud account until the user deletes them.
- While your account is active, transcripts, analysis results, usage data, and related service records may be retained on our servers as needed to provide and improve the App. Account-associated records are permanently deleted when you delete your account, except where limited retention is required by law.
- Account data stored on our servers is retained while your Babli account remains active and is permanently deleted when you delete the account, except where limited retention is required by law.
- Email delivery records and unsubscribe preferences may be retained as necessary to operate our email service and honor your communication choices.
12. Account and Data Deletion
- You can permanently delete your Babli account at any time from the App’s settings. Account deletion permanently deletes all account data stored on our servers and cannot be undone.
- Deleting your Babli account does not delete speeches or recordings stored in your private iCloud storage. You can delete that data separately in Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Storage > Babli.
- Deleting your Babli account through the App also revokes Babli’s Sign in with Apple authorization. You may instead revoke this authorization separately through the Sign in with Apple section of your Apple Account settings, but doing so does not delete your Babli account or associated account data.
- You can delete your speech recordings at any time from within the App.
- Deleting your Babli account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel your subscription separately through your Apple account settings.
- We may retain only limited information where required by law.
13. Children’s Privacy
- Babli is intended for users age 13 and older.
- We do not knowingly process personal data from children under 13.
- If we learn that a child under 13 has provided data through the App, we will delete the associated data promptly.
14. Usage Data and Analytics
- Babli may collect app usage data, such as feature usage, screen interactions, events, and related technical information, to help us understand how the App is used and improve its functionality.
- This data is used for product analytics, statistics, performance monitoring, subscription functionality, reliability, and service improvement.
- We may use relevant usage data to make Babli’s own communications, tips, updates, and offers more relevant to you.
- We do not use this data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
15. Your Choices
- You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link included in each promotional email.
- You may choose whether to record and analyze speeches in the App.
- You may decline AI processing before your first recording is processed. Without this processing, Babli cannot provide AI-generated transcription, analysis, or feedback for the recording.
- You may revoke Sign in with Apple authorization through your Apple Account settings or delete your Babli account from within the App.
- You may delete speeches and recordings stored in your private iCloud through Apple’s iCloud storage settings.
- You may stop using features that require speech processing.
- You may contact us with privacy-related questions or requests.
